Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented People Operations Specialist to join our Human Capital team. The ideal candidate will manage various HR processes and ensure a seamless employee experience throughout the entire lifecycle of employment. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, excellent communication skills, and a passion for enhancing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Onboarding and Offboarding
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing necessary documentation, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews, ensuring the return of company property, and processing final payroll.
HR Administration
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS (Human Resource Information System).
- Prepare and manage HR-related documents such as employment contracts, letters, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Payroll and Benefits Administration
- Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll.
- Coordinate with external vendors to administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
Performance Management
- Support the performance review process by coordinating evaluation timelines, collecting feedback, and assisting managers with documentation.
- Help develop and implement performance improvement plans when necessary.
Employee Relations
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries and concerns.
- Assist in resolving employee issues, escalating matters when necessary.
- Promote a positive work environment and company culture through various engagement initiatives.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure the company complies with all employment laws and regulations.
- Prepare regular HR reports and metrics to assist in decision-making processes.
- Participate in audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Talent Acquisition Support
- Assist the recruitment team with job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling.
- Support the development and implementation of employer branding initiatives.
Training and Development
- Coordinate and facilitate employee training programs.
- Assist in the development of career development plans and succession planning strategies.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in HR or People Operations roles.
Skills:
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Preferred Attributes
- Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
